Distinctions:
The XploSafe management team has successfully commercialized 14 new products across three product lines. These products include a real-time on-site detection kit for primary improvised explosive compounds and fast reading colorimetric peroxide test strips. The XploSens product line is listed as an approved technology and has obtained SAFETY ACT designation of a “Qualified Antiterrorist Technology” (QATT) by the Department of Homeland Security.
XploSafe commercialized a DoD SBIR funded chemical vapor sensing technology – XCel+ Diffusive Air Samplers for environmental monitoring and breathing zone assessment. The U.S. Airforce and the Naval Submarine Medical Research Lab are evaluating the XCel+ samplers for wide-scale adoption through
paid pilot use contracts.
More recently the company spun-off Hydra Water Technologies LLC as a portfolio company focused on the recovery and reuse of excess nutrients (phosphate and nitrate ions) from wastewater sources (municipal wastewater, commercial aquariums etc.).
The company also expanded by acquiring a 11,500 sq. ft. research and commercial scale production facility in a certified HUBZone in Stillwater, OK, and invested over $250,000 in equipment and resources over the last 2 years to support the forecasted demand of the new products being commercialized.
In 2019 XploSafe expanded by acquiring a 11,500 sq.ft. research and industrial scale production facility in a certified HUBZone that serves as the company headquarters. This facility is configured to support the commercial scale manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment for our current products sold globally by Sigma-Aldrich, Grainger USA and direct sales. It is optimized for accelerating the research, development, and commercialization of new technologies spinning-off our state-of-the-art research labs. It has room for a staff of 25 including researchers, production technicians, business staff, and sales teams.
